About the division
Welcome to Fako Division
Fako Division is the heartbeat of the Southwest Region. It is home to Buea, the regional capital, and Limbe, a coastal city famous for its black sand beaches. Mount Cameroon, the highest peak in West Africa, rises majestically above the division and hosts the annual Race of Hope.
The division is a hub for tourism, agriculture, fishing and education, and it is where the Southwest Chiefs Conference headquarters is located. Visitors come for the mountain, the beaches, the Limbe Wildlife Centre and the rich Bakweri culture.
